Blandine Rannou

French harpsichordist (Clermont-Ferrand, 1966 - )

Blandine Rannou is a French harpsichordist who has regularly performed as a soloist as well as in many Baroque ensembles.

After graduating with unanimous First Prize in harpsichord in 1983 at the Angers Conservatory, Blandine Rannou joined the Paris National Conservatory. There, she was awarded First Prize in harpsichord, then First Prize in basso continuo four years later and finally a First Prize in chamber music one year later. She then perfected her skills with Bob van Asperen and Gustav Leonhardt, before teaching at the Paris National Superior Conservatorium as well as the Versailles Conservatory.

In 1992, Blandine was the laureate of the International Harpsichord Competition in Bruges. Since then, she has led a career as an instrumental soloist and basso continuo musician with a variety of Baroque ensembles. She has regularly played basso continuo with Gérard Lesn's Il Seminario Musicale and has also collaborated with Hervé Niquet's Concert Spirituel.

Her work is exclusively recorded by the music label Zig Zag Territoires.
